Cute Backstabber.

One of my colleague from Malacca came down to the office yesterday. We call him Ol Man because he's at his late 30's and everyone before I came to the office was mid 20's.

Since it is very rare for the Ol Man to come by, we made him stay for dinner as well. His wife did call and he was quickly packing but we stated that I came back after sending the kids home just to have dinner with him. Of course I was also hoping he'd pay for dinner but let's not dwell on that.

So when we were going for dinner he told me one of his kids had to see a dentist. So for the kid's bravery he wanted to treat the lil guy somewhere nice.

lil kid: Pizza hut!
Ol'Man: Okay. But don't tell your mother. (this is economical sound because if the mother finds out, he'd have to treat the whole family to pizza hut on the weekend)
Ol'Man: But what are you going to tell your mom when she asks?
lil Kid: Pandai2 lah. I'll say I've eaten.
lil Kid: Dad paid.
Ol'Man: and if she asks what you ate?
lil Kid: I'd tell her you bought some soup.
Ol'Man: okaylah.

and after Pizza hut and arriving home. The mom greeted them and opened the door for lil Kid.

lil' Kid: Mommy! We ate at pizza hut!!!!!

Ah kids. So excited about eating at pizza hut that she forgot the most elaborate scheme they agreed on.

    1. you're right! i do wonder that maybe it's the adult that actually thought it's hard to please them.

'takkan la dia nak makan pizza hut je' or something of the like. padahal the kid is super happy to go there.

    1. that special power is called: repetition.

      'did u take his toy?'
      'no'.
      'did u take his toy?'
      'no'.
      'did u take his toy?!'
      'sigh. okay yes!!!'

  5. *laughs* this is the sweetest part of kids, kan? So innocent and just can't keep their happiness (or sadness) in them for long.
